The performance of horses and nature “Foals Fun”
Every year at the end of August, the horse and nature show “Foals fun” is held, which surprises with its performances and games for families with children and other lovers of nature.
The performance of horses and nature “Foals fun” has become an annual event since 2012, when the stables of the horse ranch “Klajumi” were opened and the idea arose to present the public with a colorful, folk, bright, impressive, thematic event that would be effective both in terms of spectacle – with music, tastings, performances, even theatrical performances, as well as educational events to preserve and develop the diversity of horse breeding traditions. The desire of the owners of the Klajumi horse ranch and their friends, professionals in the field of culture and horse breeding, is to give joy, positive emotions and knowledge about horses, reliable companions of people for centuries.
We are lucky that two of the most talented Latvian TV directors, Dace Kokle and Arvids Babris, both professionals and family friends, made an invaluable contribution in helping “Klajumi” create a small but serious Latvian island in the Kaplava parish of the Kraslava region, where the Latvian cultural environment is concentrated and work ethic, breeding work is carried out for the endangered Latvian horse breed, and diverse horse breeding traditions are preserved and developed. With amazing enthusiasm, the moderator of the show, Dace Kokle, glorifies the most important participants – horses and people, and Arvids Babris captivates participants and spectators in the Latvian, musical and rhythmic flow of the show, praising the power of the “horse” songs of our Latvian and other nations.
